Shipping Rates
Shipping rates for orders from TheOneChef depend upon the shipping method, delivery address, dimensions and weight of the package. Our website will automatically calculate your shipping rate when you place an item in your shopping cart. Some items may require a special freight quote. You will be contacted by a sales representative to receive a quote after placing an order.
Free Freight
TheOneChef offers free freight on select items as indicated on each product. This offer applies only to the continental United States and includes basic delivery charges. Free Shipping includes shipping on qualified orders from dock to dock (freight) or curbside (parcel). Free Shipping does not include additional services such as inside delivery, lift-gate delivery or express delivery. If you require any of those additional services, please select these options during checkout.
FREE delivery of all equipment to any business within 50 miles of our Brooklyn, NY showroom and warehouse, zip code 11222. Delivery service is curbside only to commercial businesses. We do not deliver to homes except under special circumstances. Under special circumstances inside delivery can be arranged to the New York City region. TheOneChef does not handle equipment installation, although we are happy to refer you to such businesses if you ask.
Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or areas outside the borders of the United States will not qualify for the free shipping promotion and will incur additional charges. After placing your order, a Burkett Sales Representative will contact you before processing your order. We are unable to deliver to Post Office Boxes and APO/FPO addresses.
UPS Vs Freight
Units under 80lbs will ship UPS Ground. Units greater than 80 lbs, such as Ranges or Refrigerators will ship via Freight Common Carrier. Freight carriers only offer curbside delivery. Tracking info will be provided within 48 hours of shipment and order should be tracked on the carrier website. Typical UPS & Freight Shipping transit time is 3-4 days depending upon your location. UPS overnight and 2-day shipping is available and should be selected at checkout. Freight carriers will not guarantee delivery times.
Shipping Damage
Everything we ship ships insured so if damage occurs in transit, you are covered. However, in order to make the claims process with the carrier as quick as possible, it is important that you take proactive steps upon receipt of your delivery. Inspect your delivery for damage upon arrival. If visible damage is found Please Refuse Delivery. Do not sign off on a package you know to be damaged. If damage is found after delivery has been made please document and contact us immediately in order to file a claim with the carrier. Carrier damage claims must be made within 7 days of delivery.
TheOneChef will provide as much help as possible in assisting your with any carrier loss or damage claim. However, filing the claim with the freight carrier is the ultimately the sole responsibility of the customer. Standard packaging for heavy items consists of securing the item to a pallet with metal strapping, plastic wrap, and/or (depending on item) bubble wrap, and warning labeling, providing significant deterrent to damage.
Return Request
This is a request, not a guarantee. Not all requested returns will be accepted and not all products are eligible for return. Please review our return Policy before proceeding.
Return Process
Please allow up to four weeks to have your refund processed; in most cases, you will receive your refund sooner. It could take up to 7 business days for items to arrive in our warehouse, it then goes to our product inspection team (up to 5 business days) and then your bank or credit card company could take up to 5 business days to have the payment processed. All refunds will be issued in the form of the payment method used to make your purchase.
Return Policy
TheOneChef will accept the return of in stock, unused, non-customized item for up to 7 days from receipt of order, and the purchase price will be refunded immediately. Beyond 7 days we do not accept returns. Items must be returned unused, in original packaging. Custom built products such as ranges with special options or built to order products cannot be canceled or returned as these will be custom built to order specifically for you. You will be sent a Special Order disclaimer to approve if your equipment is non-returnable.

Fees
Restocking Fees
There are many costs involved in processing a return. To keep our prices as low as possible, we charge a 25 percent restocking fee for all items returned and total shipping cost.
Additional Restocking Fees
In some situations, additional shipping and handling fees will be assessed in the return process. Please keep in mind that items shipped to you with “Free Shipping” are only free when shipping from TheOneChef to you. Free shipping does not apply in the case of a return. These fees will be deducted from your refund amount.
We want to refund your return as quickly as possible. Please be careful to pack returns carefully in the original box. Please be certain that your return is insured and can be tracked. We cannot refund products that come back to us damaged or don’t come back at all, so please take care to follow our instructions.
